June 20 - Morgan and Tom's Baptisms!

Tom's Baptism :)

Morgan's Baptism :)

June 13 - Happy Birthday Mom!!!

I LOVE my mission!!! And I can't wait until you get to come and visit
my mission as well but it'll be much easier to visit the places I
served... Chandler, Chandler, did I mention Chandler?😉 Sounds like
you've gotten to live the mission schedule! Up at 6:30 and bed by
10:30... 10 if you're lucky! Trying to stay caught up on the journal
and eating dinner with members that you love and they love you! You
can literally feel your heart grow to love to a whole new capacity.
It's hard to explain until you experience it yourself, which you have!
It's difficult to put into words but you leave apart of yourself in
your mission. I'm so grateful for the support you and dad have shown
me because it's a different ball game without a fam that's cheering
you on. I'll definitely have some energy enzymes! Can't say no if it
says energy. Also would you be able to send more mints por favor? Can
you just send it to the mission home? Transfers are next Wednesday the
22 so I'm not sure where I'll be. Also President and Sister Toone's
welcome home is July 17! Will you be able to go?? I sure hope so! I
love you mom! I'll talk to you next week!

Love, your baby girl, Sister Eaton

June 6 - Our Investigators

I'm sorry my day got away from me and we've been NON STOP busy, I love
it! But I'm exhausted. I don't think I've been this tired sense I was
a new missionary. I figured the best way to update you on my week
would be too update you on each person.
•Morgan: we just got the go ahead to proceed with her baptism! She's
doing amazing and we started personal progress with her!
•Kate: she works with a couple members in our ward and is so prepared!
She's very knowledgable about the bible and sees perfectly how the
Book of Mormon fits in.
•Brooke: we went shopping this morning! She asked if we would come buy
some church clothes with her... So sweet!
•Jess: she's amazing! She came to church for her second time this week
and is so enthusiastic about her baptism and loves everything about
the gospel!
•Tom: he's amazing! He referred himself and we've taught him a couple
lessons now! He came to church for the first time Sunday and he's even
been to institute now!
•Mitchell: he knows it's true! He has such a sincere desire to do
what's right but the adversary always works hard and those who try the
hardest.
•Andy: he's back from TX! He was gone for 3 weeks but we met with him
a couple times and he's doing really well!
•Eric: He's our RC Xavier's friend and he's been coming to church for
a while now and he just met with us for the first time after church!
•Tali: we tracted into her Saturday evening right before dinner and
invited her to church. She has a younger brother who's a Mormon and
she totally came to church! We set up a lesson with her this week!
I love all our investigators and there's not enough time to talk about
how wonderful all the members are! I love you all and I hope you have
a wonderful week!

This was taken before church when we're most nervous because we're waiting for our investigators. Funny story from the week: We met with one of our investigators this week for the first tie. She visited her friends up at BYUI last weekend and ended up going to church with them. She LOVED it so much! She wanted to know how she can be a part of it all and at the end of the lesson we invited her to be baptized. She is so excited!!! We showed her the baptismal font and her response was, "That's a big creepy bathtub! That's okay, I'll be baptized in the big creepy bathtub. You all survived!" She's amazing!!!

May 30 - #BLESSED a week FULL of miracles!

This week has been full of miracles!!! This week we have been waiting
to hear back from Salt Lake to get the go ahead for our investigators
baptism. It's been difficult being patient for an answer especially
because she wants it so bad. At church on Sunday she was embarrassed
because everyone was asking about her baptism next week and we still
haven't heard anything. She's been so faithful through it all and I
know, if not right now, she'll get baptized in the near future. This
week we met Brooke, Tom, and Kate for the first time! They've all been
so prepared it has been amazing to be here at this time. The Lord's
work is truly hastening! We were able to meet with Andy after 3 weeks!
Last night we had an amazing movie night at our members home and four
nonmembers were there! Tonight we have a lesson with some elders that
are passing off a YSA to us and I can't believe it all! #BLESSED I
love you all and hope you have the best week!

We went mini golfing as a zone!

May 23 - Tracting/Finding, Inviting and Baptising

This week has been a whirlwind! SO much happens each week and I don't know where to
start but not a lot seems to change week to week as far as what I do.
It's missionary work! Haha I haven't tracted as much my whole mission
as I have this week. President promised us if everyone invites one
person a day to be baptized our baptisms will double in June&July!
We've already seen our teaching pool increase dramatically and we have
FOUR people on date! A bunch of potentials which is exciting but lots
of work that needs to be done. So far we've been able to invite
someone to be baptized every day which has been a good challenge. If
you would like to pray for our investigators who have a date for
baptism there names are Morgan, Mitchell, Andy, and Brooke. To answer
your questions: I actually didn't know it was a holiday this weekend
but it is the same schedule. We'll get to rest when the badge comes
off because I find I'm tired even when I wake up haha I love serving
in YSA! I can't believe it'll be 6 months after this transfer! I can't
wait to come back with you, too! We can go to the Mesa, Gilbert, and
Phoenix temples! I'm glad you got my package! I was very pleasantly
surprised it was a cheap as it was. I bought some more stamps while I
was there. Is there anything else you want to know? I hope you have
fun with all your summer adventures! Be safe and I love you lots!!

Here's a nice quote I heard in RS yesterday from our fam... President
George Q. Cannon “No matter how serious the trial, how deep the
distress, how great the affliction, [God] will never desert us. He
never has, and He never will. He cannot do it. It is not His character
[to do so]. … He will [always] stand by us. We may pass through the
fiery furnace; we may pass through deep waters; but we shall not be
consumed nor overwhelmed. We shall emerge from all these trials and
difficulties the better and purer for them.”

A pretty AZ sunset! This is the edge of our area by the reservation. We cover 4 stakes (Chandler, Chandler S, W and E.)

We went to the visitors center with our investigator Morgan (to my left) and her baptism is June 2nd!

May 16 - I'M STAYING in YSA!!!

I'M STAYING!!!! I'm still in YSA... In the same house... Haha! It'll be 6 months here in YSA after this transfer and over year in the house! Sister Mylroie and I will be spending a 3rd transfer together which is the longest for both of us! We're excited for this transfer!

It's been a week of finding but it's amazing how you look back and all you see is the good! We're working with a few people right now. Andy is on date for May 28 and is an assistant coach at MCC (Mesa Community College) but has been at Nationals in TX for the past couple week. He's super solid and has grown up with lots of LDS friends so most everything is a review for him. It's amazing to see what strong testimonies people have so quickly. We're working with Morgan and she will be going to a rehab in about a month for about a year but she's incredible! She wants to continue having lessons until she leaves and really wants to be baptized but I'm not sure the protocol on this situation. I would only do it if we could guarantee she could take the sacrament each week but we'll see what happens! She came to church yesterday (her first time in the YSA ward!) and was participating in gospel principles! And then Mitchell we taught about a month ago and he dropped us but we got a text from him this week asking if we were still in Chandler and if we could meet up. Im blown away that I've been in my areas for so long but I know Heavenly Father always has a plan. So we met up with Mitchell and were able to help him with a couple of his concerns and he came to church yesterday as well! The ward is amazing and most are RMs and are great at helping out when they can. It does break my heart to see too many RMs that have fallin away sense serving in YSA so for all RMs: It's in the little things. IF you 1. Read your scriptures 2. Pray 3. Come to church 4. Go to the temple often (that's different for everyone) THEN you will never fall away. EVER! You may stray a little but if you're doing all those things it's not possible to fall away! It is so important to Heavenly Father to not lose any of his children, He loves you too much. So if not for yourself then do it for Him.

This is President and Sister Toone's last transfer with us. They are incredible and have learned so much from them. I know that President and Sister Christensen are excited to join us and we've already began praying for them. I'm so grateful for their service and I know just like Elder Holland said "It's always love multiplied, never love divided." I love you all and I'm praying for you!
